Eternal Life or Eternal Death

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4 ESV)

As we walk through life or would you say as our souls are in these earthly bodies. Born into this world a sinner. Which could be taken as the valley of the shadow of death. Think of everything that surrounds us each day. All the sin, temptation and deception. Only to be saved by the grace of God. We are given free will to choose right from wrong. Will fold under the pressures of the world? Or will you fight back resisting and living as Jesus Christ did? A life lived for God, selfless, knowing you’ll get your riches when you’re called home.
As a people no matter our race, creed or color. We tend to live in fear. Our faith is constantly shaken, it lacks consistency. Comparable to a leaf on the wind, when favorable we believe and when the gust arrive we let doubt creep in. Is that faith? Do we truly trust God? We believe and we pray but there is always a inkling of doubt in our mind. God wants us to have faith and follow him no matter the situation. We are quick to ask why God? Even informed why, God’s knowledge is of an understanding that we don’t posses.
The one understanding we do posses is that God said he will never forsake us or give us more than we can bear. We have more faith that we can change a man or woman in due time. The same faith should be bestowed upon God. In due time when God sees fit he will deliver us from whatever troubles or afflictions we may have. Your faith and prayer are the rod and staff that should comfort you in any dilemma, troubling time, or life event that seems to much to bear.
As we pass through this life full of death. God is with you. Lean on your faith as if a man with one leg leans on his crutch. Be stubborn when faced with sin, deception and temptation. And always remember: Romans 6:23 for the wages of son is death, but the gift of God is the eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
