Love and Faith

Your picture of what you think life should be may not be exactly what God has in store for you.
Be it man or woman we all have an idea of what we want out of our life partner. We have all painted a picture in our mind what they will be physically and financially . How they will treat us. Spiritually how they will help us save our soul. Mental stimulation they will provide and the sexual intensity they will spark in our life, and the like. We know what our babies will look and be like also, our little boys will be athletes and our little girls models. The perfect life, happily ever after. In a perfect world, or utopia of course

But when you clasp your hands, bow your head and ask God for that special someone, God has who he wants us to be with and it may not mirror what we want. The person who comes along may not be completely what you had in mind but exactly what God has in store for you. No one we meet will ever be a finished product.

God will place them in your life so that you can be the person who helps them reach their peak potential. Or he may put that person in your life to help you reach your peak potential. Yes we ultimately have the choice of whom we want to be with, but it might not be whom God sees fit for us. Being with someone who doesn’t have the same goals in life in all aspects can become an exercise in futility trying make it last, for lack of a better term.

We all ask the question. How do I know if this person is right for me, the person I prayed and asked God for. This is where your faith will be put to the test. Building a foundation together with God. Trusting and forgiving each other constantly. Putting your partner first, being supportive of one another. Last but not being friends and enjoying each other. One second, one minute, one hour and one day at a time. Hard a task it may be, just know that God will never lead you astray.
