We all have characteristics of ourself that we aren't exactly fond of. Jesus loves us anyway. We torture ourselves mentally over our past that constantly haunts us. Jesus loves us even more. Jesus loves us so much that he prays for us when we are reluctant to pray for ourselves (Luke 22:32). We ask why does Jesus love us with all of our shortcomings? It's because he knows that Love conquers all. And if we just trust in him Love will see us through and we can overcome all with Love. We may not be worthy but Jesus was sent by God Almighty to save us with His Love. Recently I wondered how does Jesus feel when his heart is broken. We complain about heartbreak, but we didn't sacrifice our life for others. We lie, try to be deceitful, praise and glorify money and other worldly possession but Jesus is waiting to forgive us. Without hesitation. How wonderful is that. Too often we take Jesus' love for granted and I'm just as guilty as anyone else. If we sincerely repent, comparable to an etch a sketch, Jesus shakes us free of our sins and we are cleared and forgiven. We are free to draw a new life guided by his love.
2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here!
Previously I didn't understand the significance of Jesus' love. Now I know it's because I wasn't eagerly, earnestly and sincerely pursuing it. There isn't any addiction, trouble, crisis, or heartache that can't be cured when we seek the love of Jesus as we seek worldly possession or significance (Proverbs 8:17). Having a relationship with Jesus has giving me the love I sought from others. I urge and it would behoove you seek a relationship with Jesus. No one can love you like he can. Once you experience it, you won't compromise yourself and morals to be loved by a man or woman
(Ephesians 3:17-19). The bible tells us the Jesus came to seek and save those who are lost
(Luke 19:10).
We all know that Jesus was sent to atone for our sins. The treatment he received was extremely harsh. Other than a mother or father, who will endure the ridicule and physical beating Jesus endured. Jesus was called a prince of demons by the same people he came to save. Jesus was beating gruesomely, the scene in the Passion of Christ wasn't remotely close (Isaiah 52:14). Think Emmett Till. And he still carried his cross. Instead of forgoing his crucifixion and fate and coming down of that cross; Jesus endured for us. It wasn't the spikes driven into his hands and feet along with the crown of thorns to mock him that kept him on the cross. It was Jesus' love.
