I saw that to say this. Don’t be blind to what is going on around you. We all need to stay aware of the company we keep and our surroundings. When we get caught up and lose sight of what’s right for us we make ourselves vulnerable to be mislead. Not everyone you call a “friend” has our best interest.
How are we to know? That’s a question that could be hard to answer. But if you choose the company you keep and evaluate your circle you don’t have to ask, you already know. Positivity breeds positivity.
What causes us to be blinded? I would say trying to fit in and be accepted is a big one. Of course we all want to be accepted but at what cost? Is it worth tossing everything you believe and stand for? Or losing that special someone? I doubt it but when you allow yourself to get mislead, it isn’t anyone else’s fault, those are the things that tend to happen.
Yes some realize and make a change, others it takes an event or situation to open their eyes. And them there are those who refuse to and continue to let others make up their mind and decisions. Many times have I see people end up in unfortunate situations and are left to fend for themselves by the same people who helped them get there.
Surround yourself with people who have the same goals and trying to reach the same success you want out of life. No matter what it is. Take a step back and evaluate if whomever is helping or hindering your progress. Be unbiased as possible and honest with yourself. Keep those who are positive and deal with those who aren’t on a different level. It’s your life and you are responsible for it.
I won’t lie I was that very person that this blog is about. And the bad part is that I was fine with it. It took somethingsz to happen that weren’t pleasant but I’m glad they did. Thanks to family and friends and my God I’m better because of it.
